Pet Farewells
Check my availabilityPets come in all shapes and sizes, from creepy, crawlies to large, hoofed, four legged friends, and everything in between. But the love and bond between you and your pet is the same, regardless of size or species. Pets are an essential part of our families – they provide companionship, loyalty, comfort, adventure and unconditional love. So, when that family member passes away, we feel that loss just like any other.

Choosing to hold a celebrant led, pet funeral ceremony gives you the time to say goodbye, to respect, honour and show your love for that special companion and celebrate all the happy times you’ve shared.
Having the space to grieve and express your feelings is part of the journey. It can often be the first time children experience loss or mourning – they too should be given time and place to express how they feel. Creating a ceremony with a celebrant enables everyone to share their grief and remember their beloved pet.
You may want to hold your farewell at home or in a favourite place – a specific spot in the garden or a local field perhaps, where you played games and shared fun times. Or there are beautiful crematoriums, chapels and cemeteries that offer space for pet memorials – the choice is yours.
I will create a personalised, meaningful service for you and your family, having talked to you about what your pet meant to you and shared stories and memories of your special friend. You can gather all their favourite toys, blankets, collars and so on and have them present as you say your goodbye. You could even watch videos of your pet; these are a great way to create a relaxed and lighter atmosphere, as well as having photo boards.

Whatever you choose to do, honouring a pet with a heartwarming celebration of their lives, is a wonderful and meaningful acknowledgement of your relationship and bond and I will ensure it is a ceremony you will always remember.
